The Concept of Organization as a Cornerstone

 

 

 

The origin of Intellectuality is thinking on the sheer possibility of intellectuality, or in terms of the ancient Greek philosophers – the effort to salvage Intellectuality, at least after making known the Zeno Paradoxes. Michael Sharon, one of the most original intellectuals in today’s Israel, contributed to these lasting efforts a surprising contribution in his book “Divided Attention”.

 

According to Sharon, Intellectuality is originated in Organization. The pre-eminence of Man over animals is rooted in his ability to organize information, and the pre-eminence of man over another is inherent in the quality of information organization.

The raw data is received by the nervous system, and in this regard there is no fundamental difference between the eyes of a man and those of a hawk, or between the ear of a man and that of a dog. There is evidence, however, that in the realm of perception animals may have superiority over humans. On the other hand, human intelligence is an Organizing intelligence that transforms perception into modes of attention - the higher the intelligence, the more complex the Organization.

 

Michael Sharon distinguishes in his fascinating and highly interesting book between  uni-focal or one dimensional organization of most people and multi-focal organization of talented, very talented and genius or eminent people.

The Genius, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein reach through multi-focal organization total new insights. “Time” For example, was a useful concept before Einstein. But the organizing intelligence of Einstein turned Time into a constituent in “Time/Space”, and this constituent radically changed the Physical Paradigm set up by Newton 200 years before. 

 

In a similar vein, also the concept of “Organization” was in use before the research project of Michael Sharon, but Sharon turned it by a virtuoso brilliant thinking into a cornerstone not only in understanding intelligence, but also in understanding reality per se.

Therefore it is highly valuable for everyone who is interested in human thinking and in its capability to comprehend reality and improve it, to read “Divided Attention”

מושג הארגון כאבן יסוד

יסודה של האינטלקטואליות היא חשיבה על עצם אפשרותה של האינטלקטואליות או, בלשונם של חכמי יוון הקלאסית – בניסיון להציל את האינטלקטואליות, אחרי פרסום הפרדוכסים של זנון לפחות. מיכאל שרון, אחד האינטלקטואלים המקוריים של ישראל היום, תרם למאמצים מתמשכים אלה תרומה מפתיעה בספרו  "חלוקת הקשב". לדברי שרון האינטלקטואליות יסודה בארגון. מותר האדם מן הבהמה הוא ביכולתו לארגן נתונים ומותר אדם מאדם הוא באיכות ארגון הנתונים. הנתונים הגולמיים נקלטים על ידי העצבים ומבחינה זאת אין שוני בין עיני אדם לעיני נץ  ובין אוזנו של אדם לאוזנו של כלב. יש הוכחות שבתחום הקליטה יש לבעלי חיים יתרון על האדם. לעומת זאת האינטליגנציה האנושית היא אינטליגנציה מארגנת ההופכת את הקליטה לקשב, וככל שהאינטליגנציה גבוהה יותר כך הארגון מורכב יותר.

 

מיכאל שרון מבחין בספרו המרתק בין ארגון חד ממדי של רוב האנשים לבין ארגון רב ממדי של אנשים מוכשרים, מוכשרים מאוד וגאונים. הגאונים דוגמת לאונרדו דה וינצי, אייזיק ניוטון ואלברט איינשטיין מגיעים על ידי ארגון רב ממדי לתובנות חדשות מכל וכל . עוד לפני איינשטיין, לדוגמא היה ה"זמן" מושג שימושי.  אבל האינטליגנציה המארגנת של איינשטיין הפכה את הזמן  למרכיב ב"מרחב/זמן" ומרכיב זה שינה את הפרדיגמה הפיסיקלית שקבע ניוטון מאתיים שנה לפני כן.

 

גם מושג הארגון היה בשימוש לפני מחקרו של מיכאל שרון, אך שרון הפך אותו בווירטואוזיות מחשבתית לאבן יסוד, לא רק בהבנת האינטלקטואליות אלא גם בהבנת המציאות באשר היא. לפיכך ראוי לכל מי שמתעניין בחשיבה האנושית, ביכולתה להבין את המציאות ולשפרה, לקרוא את "חלוקת הקשב".

חילופי הבנות  עם ההיסטוריון הבכיר של מלחמות ישראל, ד"ר אורי מילשטיין, בנושא מנהיגות לאומית -

האם אחד מביטוייה המאז'וריים של גדולה אמיתית (דבר שדה-גול כינה Grandeur) הינו המצביאות הצבאית והרוח המלחמתית, הן משום היותה -

א) ביטוי ההרואיקה שבקיום האנושי הלוחם בסיסית כנגד האנטרופייה כפרדיגמה של התבוסתנות - ובחשבון אחרון, רוח ההתנגדות המושכלת כנגד ההתפוררות הסופית שהיא המוות;

 

ב) והן משום שהמצביאות - בבחינת ניהול מערכות מורכבות של חבורות אנשים גדולות (בניגוד לסתם פרץ אלימות ברברי של "בדואים"-נוודים שודדים) הינה אבן היסוד האנושית-חברתית , או  הפרדיגמה האופיינית ביותר בסביבה אנושית-חברתית למאבק השרידות אותו העלת על נס כאבן יסוד של הממשות;

 

ג) וגם משום שהמצביאות, בניגוד לראייה הרואה במערכה צבאית "מלאכת קצבים", הינה הביטוי המובהק, עקב א' ו-ב', של האינטלקט האנושי המורכב, זה המתמודד באופן אפקטיבי וחסכוני במשאבים עם סביבה מסכלת ומורכבת.

כרגיל אתה מנסח את הרעיונות עם עומק תרבותי ואינטלקטואלי. מלחמת הנצח של האינטליגנציה נגד האנטרופיה, אף שהיא טרגית, במובן שסופה להיות מובסת, היא גם הירואית, במובן שאם היא מנוהלת כהלכה היא עשויה להישג נצחונות זמניים. אף שהמציאות אינה מאפשרת לנו להשיג אלא נצחונות זמניים, הם עדיפים בהרבה על נצחונות מוחלטים-מיתולוגיים כפי שההיסטוריוניים המגוייסים של ההגנה, הפלמ"ח וצה"ל הציגו את מלחמת העצמאות ואת מלחמת ששת הימים. כל זמן שנמצא אדם כמוך בקרבנו, יש סיכוי שהחברה הישראלית תבין בסופו של דבר לאן על פניה להיות מועדות.
